Daria Popesco

Film Producer

Daria Popesco is an emerging film producer from Romania. She studied film at King’s College London and has a Master in Film Producing from Met Film School London. She was part of the 2022 Talent Lab at TIFF Cluj. Daria gained significant experience on resourcefulness and creative producing while working as a production assistant for several short and feature films in London and for Romanian productions such as the independent film Amid Waters of San Sebastian winner Alina Grigore.

Daria is interested in stories portraying the experiences of the millennial generation, poetic realism and Romanian folktales. In the last three years, she independently produced emerging Romanian directors who follow similar topical interests and have an original vision and personal visual style.
